We’re Michelle and Rachel, the sisters behind Patty’s Barn. Following in our parents Chris and Margaret’s footsteps, we welcome guests to our family’s corner of rural Lancashire.

Our family, our story

A family farm.
A fresh chapter.

Patty’s Barn is a small family business, deeply connected to this corner of the Lancashire coast.

We grew up here and love our rugged spot by the salt marshes. We’re always happy to share our local knowledge, from favourite coastal walks to places to eat and explore, to help you make the most of your stay.

From our dairy-farming roots to holidays and gatherings by the sea, it’s always been about family, a warm welcome and sharing this place with others.

Our cottages are VisitEngland rated: four-star cottages, with five-star Patty’s Croft. The two cabins are separate from these cottage ratings.

We’re always looking for thoughtful ways to make your stay better, from welcoming outdoor spaces and more planting to little changes inside the cottages. Our ongoing collaboration with interior designer Rita Millat is part of that story.
