What can I do at your site during my stay?There is plenty to do during your time onsite with us at Patty's Barn. Please check out our Activities tab and Onsite Facilities. We are located directly on the sea wall and King Charles Coastal Pathway, and have a private nature trail inland that explores our family farm, amongst open pastures, woodlands and ponds. We also have a calendar of events, please check out the calendar to find out what is on during your stay. You can expect to find experiences like, yoga, breathwork, foraging, bushcraft and plenty more. Our sister company Land + Sea is also located onsite who offer immersive food and drink experiences like our signature dining experience the Untamed Supper Club and workshops such as fermentation, smoking and the art of fire. Can I bring my chidren?Yes - we are a very family friendly site and this is a place where we welcome 'kids to be kids'. Onsite we have a games room, and outdoors there are football goals, rugby posts, swing and a box of outdoor games to play with.

Are any of your properties or spaces shared spaces?All of our holiday cottages are individual and let to you only during your stay. No one else has access, and you are always notified at least 24 hours prior should our cleaning or maintenance team require access. Our cabins, The Ginger Hut and The Mushroom Hut share the kitchen and bathroom area. The games room, laundry room and gym are all spaces available to use by other guests. From time to time we host events which can mean our games room or out barn are temporarily unavailable. If you would like to know if there are events happening in advance please check out our calendar or send us a message and we can happily share more information.

Where do I collect my keys?You will receive an email after confirming your booking with further details regarding key collection. However generally, you will collect the keys onsite at Patty's Barn, if you keys are left for collection you will receive instructions regarding the location.

Do you take last minute bookings?Yes - please call us on 07502726596 for a quick response and we can check availability and get you booked in promptly.

What time is check out?Check out is 10am, we ask our guests to be respectful of this as our team will be ready to go to prepare for our next guest arrivals.

Is it best to book direct or on a 3rd party website?Please always book direct. Third party websites like Airbnb and Booking.com can take up to 20% commission off the booking, and as a small business this is a hefty chunk. Please always book direct and we promise the best prices this way too.

What's included in my bookingEvery cottage comes fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The games room is a communal space for you to enjoy, please note that at times this is sometimes closed for private events. There is a small gym onsite you can use during your stay. You will have access to explore all of the outdoor spaces on our site. Linen, towels, Pure Lakes body wash, shampoo + conditioner and some cleaning products are also included with all bookings. All utilities are included in your stay. BOOKABLE EXTRAS We have one woodfired hot tub onsite which is a bookable extra, please see more info and how to book here. Space hire for larger gatherings available.

Can I bring my dog?Unfortunately we do not allow pets in the cottages at Patty's Barn. Please read our policy on dogs here. If you're staying in our cabins, The Ginger Hut or the Mushroom Hut we charge a £10 supplement to bring your dog. Please note we do have chickens onsite and their are also sheep around so your dog must be kept under control. If you are travelling with an assistant dog, please do let us know and we are happy to accommodate your requirements.

Private dining or private chef bookings?We have regular chefs who come to the site. Once you have shared your budget with us we can put you in touch with one of our recommended chefs. You can host this in your cottage, or if you want to make this extra special and hire one of our spaces for this experience just let us know.

What Should I Bring With Me?Our cottages are well equipped for you to make yourself at home. However, we recommend you also bring along, wellington boots, warm jacket and hiking/walking shoes so you can fully embrace the great outdoors during your stay.

We share the postcode with other properties on the lane. Do you have a good internet connection?Patty’s Barn has super fast broadband internet access and Wi-Fi throughout all of its cottages and in our games room and outdoor dining area.

What is Your Minimum Night StayCottages Are a three night minimum stay, unless you are booking as part of a bespoke corporate or retreat package Cabins. The Ginger Hut and Mushroom Hut are available for 1 nights, which goes up to 2 nights in summer holidays.

Can I get to Patty's Barn using public transport?It is possible to travel by bus, however you must be aware that walking along the lane to the bus stop is 1.3 miles, or across the farm track 0.7 miles. Our site and area is best enjoyed if you have a car.

Do you have high chairs and travel cots available?We do have highchairs and travel cots available, it is best to let us know in advance especially during busy periods as we only have a limited amount. However, these are used at your own risk and you are required to bring your own linen and bedding.

How do I Travel to You?By Car Take Junction 33 of the M6. Take the A6 South signed for Garstang/Glasson Dock After about 1 mile take your first good right signed Cockerham/Glasson Dock. Drive for 1 mile to next T Junction turn right into the village of Cockerham. At the Manor Inn pub turn right signed for Lancaster. Take your first Left down Hillam Lane. Carry all the way to the end of Hillam Lane and bear left to Patty's Barn when you see the stone bench at the fork in the road. Carry on until you get to the end, drive over the cattle grid and into the car park for Patty's Barn By Train London Euston <> Lancaster 2hr 25 mins direct Manchester Piccadilly <> Lancaster, 58 mins direct On arrival to Lancaster Train Station take the exit on Platform 3 to the taxi rank. It is a 15 minutes drive from Lancaster train station to Patty's Barn By Taxi Try these Lancaster Taxi numbers 01524 32090, 01524 848848 or Johns Taxis 07836716578 By Plane Manchester Airport, 1hr 7min (60 miles) Liverpool Airport, 1hr 18mins (68 miles) There is a private runway onsite if you are travelling by private plane or helicopter.

Do you have disabled access at Patty's Barn?Several of our cottages have ground floor bedroom and bathroom access. The Wild Woodpecker has accessibility adjustments in the bathroom including a downstairs wet room, please call Michelle on 07502726596 if you have specific questions.
